Oceans of Love is an eco-friendly service that peacefully lays ashes at sea. We are a family-owned and operated business in Southern California and all our services are handled with love and respect.
The ocean is a beautiful and natural resting place to return remains back to nature.
We have found the relationship with the sea helps bring closure and assists in the healing process for the loved ones left behind.
Burials at sea are also an environmentally safe option that do not involve the use of embalming chemicals or caskets. The natural process of the ocean helps break down the ashes and return them to the earth gently and sustainably.

The Captain and crew sail off the coast of Southern California into the Pacific Ocean. When we reach our destination approximately 3 miles offshore, remains are placed into the sea, along with fresh seasonal flowers.
In keeping with nautical tradition, the nautical bell is rung eight times to say farewell and signify their watch is over.We email a nautical map commemorating the date, time and GPS coordinates of the final resting place to the aftercare provider.
