Hello Pet Parents
First and foremost, we are so sorry for your loss. We are here to help whether your pet was communally cremated or individually cremated.
If your pet was communally cremated and you would like to find out where and when your loved one’s service took place, start here:
Communally Cremated
Ask your veterinarian or medical professional who their aftercare provider is.
Find the aftercare provider on our recent ventures page, here.
Check back at least one week after your loved one’s passing and we will have the recent ventures page updated with current information.
Here you will find the date/time and the coordinates of your loved one’s final resting place at sea.
Certificate of Memorial
If your loved one’s cremated remains were laid at sea during a communal service and you would like a personalized digital certificate with the coordinates of their final resting place at sea, request here.
Made with love and personalized with your pet’s name, coordinates of final resting place at sea and the date of ceremony. Sent via email by your Oceans of Love team.
Individually Cremated
If your pet was individually cremated and returned to you, we have two options.

Our Captain and crew sail off the coast of Southern California into the Pacific Ocean. When the destination is reached approximately 3 miles offshore, ashes are placed into the sea, along with fresh seasonal flowers. In keeping with nautical tradition, the yacht’s bell is rung eight times to say farewell and signify their watch is over.

There are three different ways to write out GPS coordinates;
DDD° MM' SS.S" Degrees, Minutes and Seconds
DDD° MM.MMM' Degrees and Decimal Minutes
DDD.DDDDD° Decimal Degrees
The most common method for navigation on the sea is the “Degrees and Decimal Minutes” and this is what we use here at Oceans of Love.
If you want to use the Google mapping system to show the location of your loved one, then you will need to convert to the “Degrees, Minutes and Seconds” version which you can do here: GPS Converter
